The 2020 HomeViews BTR Awards took place at the UKAA Festival of Build to Rent today, and are the only BTR awards to be decided by residents. To accurately reflect performance during such a uniquely challenging year, the 2020 awards were solely based on reviews submitted between 1 January to 19 October.
The Green Rooms 19-storey scheme in Salford – which opened in February and is operated by AmroLiving – claimed the titles of the Best Regional and Best National BTR Development. Residents gave the building’s design 4.96 out of 5 and its management earned a 4.91 rating from impressed residents.
HomeViews reviewers repeatedly highlight the building’s management team: “Lovely, friendly, helpful staff team who provide a warm welcome when you get home.” The building’s design, facilities and location also receive plenty of praise from reviewers, with one even stating, “I can’t envisage ever wanting to move.”

Operators Vertus and Urbanbubble joined AmroLiving as award-winners, with Urbanbubble claiming the top spot as Best BTR Management Company for 2020. 99% of their residents said they would recommend the Manchester-based company, while an impressive score of 4.74 out of 5 for Management across six of its developments also greatly aided the win.
The Best Development Award for London went to 10 George Street by Vertus. This luxurious Canary Wharf development’s overall star rating was 4.91 out of 5, with specific scores of 5 out of 5 for both Management and Design.
HomeViews reviews now cover 131 Build to Rent developments in the UK, representing 47% of all operational Build to Rent schemes. Of more than 15,000 new development reviews on the site, almost 3,700 are for Build to Rent buildings.

“Living at The Green Rooms is better than I possibly imagined. It meets all of my requirements as it’s a social building full of lovely residents, managers who are always on standby to greet you and support, plus full of gorgeous pets!
“It has a lot to offer with communal areas, conference room, onsite gym, concierge (so you never have to miss a parcel) and a coffee machine. It is also a peaceful and relaxing development where you can have your space and enjoy incredible views of the Quays. When I’m on my balcony I often feel transported far away like I’m on holiday with a sea view 🙂 I couldn’t ask for more for a home and I can’t envisage ever wanting to move.”

“The Apartment is perfect, cleverly thought out and a bit of luxury. I believe it is great value because it’s such a great place to live and spend my life in.
