Developer and operator Vita Group has announced the line-up of its official VIP launch party at the Union co-living apartments at St John’s, Manchester.

Guests at the event will be treated to food from local vendors Picos Tacos, Eat New York, and Great North Pies. The bar will be operated by The Trading Route, a brand-new bar which will open later in the year next door to Union at St John’s. It is the creation of Trof and Wandering Palette founder Will Evans and Manchester Union Brewery’s Jamie Scahill.

Residents at Union at St John’s who’ve already moved into the development will be entered into a randomised prize draw to gain access. Union residents will also have the chance to attend the events through the resident’s app. Alongside this, there will be the chance for people to win their place at the event via the Union instagram (@UnionMCR) in the run up to the event, which will be held on the 29 February 2024.

Union will continue its hyper-local launch strategy with an all-out event which will be headlined by Manchester rock band Everything Everything. The main stage festival band boast top 10 albums, Mercury prize nominations and their new album ‘Mountainhead’ will be released on 1 March.

Also performing will be R&B pop artist Murkage Dave, who ran the legendary club night Monday Night Murkage at South in the city. Since then, Mukage Dave’s career as a solo artist has flourished – he’s supported The Streets on tour, worked on projects with the likes of JayKae, Skepta, and released his own albums.

“We can’t wait to officially launch Union and show Manchester what we’re all about. Our launch party will be the perfect platform for that, celebrating some of Manchester’s top talent including Everything Everything, Murkage Dave and IAMDDB, so make sure you’re following our socials for a chance to be there and learn more about this incredible place to live.”
