ESG technology and data solutions specialist Utopi announces that its CEO and Co-Founder, Jonathan Burridge, has been named as a finalist for EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

EY Entrepreneur of The Year™ is a global programme that recognises entrepreneurial achievement among individuals and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership and success – and work to improve the quality of life in their communities, countries and globally.

Jonathan has been named on the UK’s list of the most notable entrepreneurs for 2024, representing the Scotland region. He is now recognised by the global community, while Utopi is recognised for its contribution to the Scotland region.

“To be a finalist for an award like this not only means a great deal to me, but also to the business. We have all worked so hard to build Utopi to what it is today, five years into our journey, and I’m proud to be recognised by EY and the global business community. It’s a privilege to lead the business alongside my Executive Founders, and the reason we’ve got to where we are today is because of the exceptional team we have all built together.”

With the success Utopi have achieved over the past five years, Jonathan alongside his fellow Co-Founders, Falk Bleyl, Ben Roberts, and John Trower have had endless vision and energy to succeed, leading the company to 500% revenue growth in 2023/24.

Jonathan’s recognition adds to the progress the business has made and will continue to make throughout the year.

“Utopi has seen immense growth in the last five years. We now have over 9 billion environmental data points and are installed in over 40,000 beds across the UK, Europe, Republic of Ireland and now the USA; and without Jonathan’s tenacity, drive, and ambition it simply wouldn’t be possible. I’m proud to see the business gaining this positive attention and know it’s only the beginning for us.”
