United Living secures £75m to build the 1NQ Build to Rent scheme in Manchester, which will be delivered through its New Homes business.

United Living New Homes has secured a contract that will fund the development of its new 1NQ scheme in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Provider of infrastructure, housing, and property services United Living Group has been awarded a £75m contract to build the new residential development 1NQ in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The scheme is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

A joint venture between Marco Living and Axis RE, the Tariff Street development consists of two new-build ten and 12-storey apartment blocks, comprising a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom Build to Rent apartments with private gardens, roof terraces and rooftop amenities. The development will also provide two commercial units on the ground floor.

Located in the heart of Manchester, the 1NQ Build to Rent development is another step forward in the long-term regeneration of this part of the Northern Quarter. It will provide much-needed new homes where people want to live and work as part of a mixed-use scheme in a highly sustainable brownfield location.

1NQ at Tariff Street is one of two projects that United Living is currently working on in Manchester, which will deliver a total of 557 new affordable homes across the city.
