Sandhu at Coppermaker Square in Stratford has launched, with a first look at the design of the prestigious apartments.

Real estate developer and manager Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) unveils Sandhu – the first of three buildings at the Coppermaker Square Build to Rent development. The introduction of Sandhu follows the successful launches of the Harrison, Xavier and Bussell residences last year.

The Sandhu building comprises 90 apartments in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. The design of the building has been modelled in a mansion block architectural style, characterised by clean lines and private balconies. Inside the apartments, a contemporary and spacious layout make the homes particularly suited to sharers, including couples and growing families.

Coppermaker Square has partnered with renowned London design studios – Precious McBane and Owl Design – to unveil two new show apartments in Sandhu from mid-January. Each apartment has been designed for a specific demographic, allowing customisation to suit each resident and their preferences. Alongside this, residents can also choose between a light or dark colour palette for their apartment.

A year on from launching, URW at Coppermaker Square is set to welcome its 1,000th resident early this year. This follows the growing trend among Londoners who, in the face of a challenging home-buying landscape, are turning to renting and having the management of a professional Build to Rent landlord.

On-site residential amenities at Sandhu and the wider development include a spa and wellness centre featuring a 25-metre swimming pool, a gym, purpose built co-working space with individual desks, shared worktops, and soundproofed booths, and two fitness studios hosting an ongoing schedule of classes, featuring yoga, Pilates, and spin cycle sessions.

As part of a comprehensive package, residents receive a year-long Zipcar membership and access to the Resident App – the development’s communication and information offering. Here, residents can book a handyman, receive exclusive deals for Westfield Stratford City, speak to the onsite team, connect with neighbours and more.

Residents also gain automatic membership to the Coppermaker Club, which offers a club lounge and games space, private dining room and outdoor terrace, and access to a year-round programme of resident events.

On the doorstep of the development, Sadler’s Wells East and the V&A East Storehouse are both set to open in 2024. Tours of the scheme are available from 15 January 2024 with residents set to move in from late February. Prices start from £2,800 per month.
