Build to Rent scheme – Ten Degrees – operated by Greystar has hit new heights as the world’s tallest modular skyscraper. Situated at 100a George Street in Croydon, Ten Degrees apartments are now open to residents – with a light display marking the official launch of the tallest modular residential building on earth.
Ten Degrees offers 546 spacious Build to Rent homes – a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments across two adjoining 44 and 38-storey towers that overlook East Croydon station and offer panoramic views across London. All homes are pet-friendly and have the option of being unfurnished or furnished, with the latter coming with designer furniture packages and integrated SMEG appliances.
“Ten Degrees will set new benchmarks for renting in London by offering high quality housing that perfectly blends work and leisure while providing the utmost comfort and convenience.”
Todd Marler, Senior Director of Multifamily Operations – UK and Ireland, Greystar
The homes at Ten Degrees were designed by award-winning architects HTA Design and manufactured off-site in a Bedfordshire factory by Tide Construction and sister company Vision Modular Systems. The ready-built modular pods were stacked on top of each other, not unlike giant Lego blocks, streamlining the construction process and reducing disruption to the surrounding area. Carbon usage is significantly lowered through offsite manufacturing, and the apartments will produce up to 67% less energy than traditional builds.
Standing as tall as the London Eye, Ten Degrees aims to take renting in London to new heights by offering a world-class service alongside a range of market-leading amenities and community initiatives. Residents have access to a roof top gym, sky lounge, co-working space, rooftop and ground level terraces, a private dining room, a pet spa, a games lounge and a cinema room.
Onsite events run by Greystar’s Community teams include pool tournaments, pizza nights in the residents’ lounge, homework clubs for young families and rooftop yoga. Ten Degrees overlooks independent food and retail hub Boxpark which is in the heart of London’s fastest up-and-coming borough. Residents can also enjoy close proximity to East Croydon train station, where trains can reach both central London and Gatwick airport in 15 minutes.
The scheme is looked after by a 24/7 onsite management team who will also ensure residents have a smooth move-in process and are welcomed into the community. As a welcome offer, all residents will receive their first month’s rent free of charge.
“We know that people who rent our properties are not just looking for somewhere to live but also a lifestyle and community. With ten social spaces, including a gym, co-working space and pet spa, Ten Degrees will be home to a genuine community while also meeting the demand for places to work, live and play all under one roof.”
