The 25m pool is one of The Coppermaker Club’s most desired amenities, designed to give the Build to Rent development an impressive USP.

Suna Interior Design’s extensive knowledge and distinct signature style delivered WOW factor resident amenities at Coppermaker Square in Stratford.

Suna was commissioned by Unibail Rodamco Westfield (URW) to plan and design the five-story resident hub (known as The Coppermaker Club) and interior spec for the 1,225 apartments at their first residential development. The result is the successful creation of premium amenities, which will deliver a truly enriching living experience for residents.

The unique energy and culture of this regenerated East London location, competition in the local marketplace, and the design demands of Build to Rent informed this three-year design project. A complex task was undertaken to ensure that practical considerations like prioritising longevity, promoting community, and facilitating slick back-of-house operation were combined with the objective to create an impressive front-of-house finish.

Forming USP’s for these distinguished Build to Rent homes at Coppermaker Square, the design studio created stand-out spaces that promote an aspirational lifestyle. These also reflect the desires and expectations of tenants seeking premium living experiences, and to also meet the requirements of modern urban renters, based on the extensive research conducted by URW.

“As URW’s first residential project, the significance of this development cannot be overstated. Our design team embraced the responsibility of setting a benchmark for future buildings, working closely with the URW design team, key rental agents and property specialists to see the design through from concept to completion. Innovative design choices and meticulous attention to detail raised the bar and has established a new standard for excellence in interior design for this sector.”

Of the vast resident amenities, each level within The Coppermaker Club features a cohesive design pallet, giving the building its own identity, whilst allowing each area to have its own unique design characteristics, including striking light features and bespoke joinery.

Concierge (ground floor)

Situated on the ground floor at Coppermaker Square, the concierge area provides an unforgettable entrance. A meeting place for guests and residents, this space acts as a central hub for the development. A double height entrance lobby and bespoke lighting forge a grand first impression and a welcome home for those already renting here.

Hidden doors built within the sage green ribbed panelling, which continues around the corner in a sweeping curve, lead through into a vast space for storage and back-of-house rooms.

Building management (level one)

Level one at Coppermaker Square is dedicated to a management suite for the residential lettings team. Suna prioritised the creation of an exciting first impression that showcases the lifestyle on offer and flexible spaces for both private and informal meetings. The mezzanine level, created by the entrance lobby design below, elevates the space and connects the two floors.
