Touchstone – who are part of the Places for People Group and are 3rd party Build to Rent Managing Agents – have recently been nominated for three awards across the Build to Rent space.

As part of one of the largest social enterprises in the UK, Social value is at the forefront of its business, with all profits going back into social housing, community initiatives and placemaking.

Touchstone’s commitment to social impact and expertise in property management has earned it the position of finalists for the Social Impact award at the Property Week BTR360 awards, along with nominations for the Social Value Impact in Build to Rent award and the Best Build to Rent Building Management Award at Love to Rent’s upcoming Build to Rent Awards.

Operating a portfolio of Build to Rent developments across the UK, Touchstone believe their homes act as a force for good, sponsoring events, driving innovation, and fostering community within their local areas.

Both social value award nominations recognise the positive impact which the Build to Rent schemes have on their surroundings, strengthening communities by providing genuine value to the local regions, encouraging customer interaction, and boosting mental wellbeing.

Touchstone’s Build to Rent Business Development Associate Director, Kirpal Rehinsi has also been asked to speak at the Property Week BTR360 event on the 10 October to discuss how the company delivers Social Impact in Build to Rent.

This will cover their overarching business strategy and how it relates to Social Impact – along with exploring their activities both at group level and site level, covering areas such as community impact and integrating a Build to Rent scheme within the community.

“Creating Social Impact is part of our DNA – it’s what we do. Our strategy as a business is focussed on supporting thriving communities, so I’m incredibly excited to be able to share with my industry colleagues about how we deliver true Social Impact for our residents and the wider community both locally and globally.”
