Strawberry Star has announced the appointment of Mario Luca Balducci as Managing Director – Developments. The new position will support Strawberry Star’s mission to deliver an additional 2,000 new homes in the UK by 2025.
Mario joined Strawberry Star this month. He will lead the Developments – particularly focusing on integrating the Developments vertical’s objectives into the organisation’s long-term strategy – which is to venture beyond mixed-use developments and strengthen the developers Build to Rent portfolio. In May 2020, the developer also appointed a Managing Director of Asset Management – Clint Bartman – to establish its Build to Rent business vertical.

Mario was the former Co-Founder and Managing Director of Allies Group with £100m+ P&L responsibility. Prior to this, he worked with Lendlease and Olympic Delivery Authority as the Development Lead for East Village – built for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. With a construction value of £1.5bn, the project consisted of 2,818 apartments and townhouses across a 70 hectare site. Mario brings with him over two decades of end-to-end property development experience to the team.
