Socius, a developer with over £1bn portfolio across UK towns and cities, expands its team with the appointment of Mike Dodd as Project Director, who will primarily be based at Socius’ Bristol office. Mike has over ten years’ development experience. In his new role he will oversee the delivery of the 243 Build to Rent apartments Soapworks scheme – a £215m mixed-use urban district which was acquired by Barings earlier this year, and St Christopher’s, a sustainable later living scheme, both located in Bristol.

Mike joins Socius from Quintain where he was a Senior Development Manager and played a key role in the delivery of over one-thousand homes across Wembley Park, an 85-acre regeneration scheme in North-West London – and the UK’s largest single Build to Rent development.

Prior to this, Mike spent two years as Development Manager at Capital & Counties, where he led a number of development projects within the Covent Garden estate and spent a further two years at developer Manhattan Loft Corporation, which is best-known for Chiltern Fire House and the revitalisation of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel at King’s Cross.

“Mike has a proven track record in delivering complex urban developments, and he will have a key role to play as we bring forward the regeneration of the Soapworks site and aim to set a new standard in sustainable senior living at St Christopher’s in Bristol. We are continuing to expand our pipeline, focused on the UK’s most dynamic, forward-looking cities, and Mike is an excellent addition to our growing development team.”
