Homes will be ready for residents to move into later this summer, with prices from £3,045 pcm.
“We are excited to launch Author King’s Cross, our Build to Rent scheme in one of London’s most sought-after locations. We have led the redevelopment and rejuvenation of this area for the last twenty years and it is wonderful to now offer rental homes at King’s Cross.
“We are committed to changing the UK rental experience for the better and have plans to expand our Build to Rent homes in the UK across a range of large and smaller sites.”
Tom Goodall, Managing Director, Related Argent
The Author King’s Cross scheme includes three buildings ranging between three and 16 storeys, centred on a landscaped courtyard garden designed by Urban Fabric. Related Argent has worked with architectural practices David Morley Architects, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Haptic to give each building a distinctive style.
The scheme includes 182 new Build to Rent homes – a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, many with a private balcony. The apartments have been furnished by David Phillips, with the curated scheme titled ‘Urban Sanctuary’ to balance bold colours with cosy furnishings and Nordic-style furniture for a timeless finish.
There is a warm colour palette of blue, taupe and grey to the one-bedroom, and navy, orange and cream to the two-bedroom show apartments. Floor-to-ceiling windows also offer an abundance of natural light, and timber flooring is featured throughout.
Apartments offer high specification and energy efficient appliances. Bespoke Omega kitchens have black stained timber-veneered doors and a white granite splashback, with integrated Samsung appliances (fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer), SMEG undercounter fridge, induction hobs and dual ovens.
Apartments have an open plan living and dining area, and bedrooms include fitted wardrobes and ottoman beds for extra storage. Bathrooms are monochrome, with sleek, marble-style tiling and a mirrored vanity for storage.
Inspired by boutique hotels, the ground floor amenity space designed by Conran & Partners and furnished by AGC BTR offers residents an engaging, relaxed space. Residents are welcomed by a double height lobby with Tom Dixon cone lighting above the reception desk. The space offers a balance of bespoke timber panelling, industrial concrete elements, and metal detailing capturing the urban nature of the area. The spaces are finished with bespoke artwork and extensive planting.
Amenities at Author King’s Cross supports healthy living and creativity. There are multiple residents’ lounges with striking timber-lattice ceilings, plush furnishings and sustainable materials. ‘The Nook’ offers cosy seating booths and is ideal for home working, whilst the bright garden kitchen opens onto the courtyard. There will also be regular events available to residents in the communal spaces including ‘Chefs Nights’, cocktail hours and catered events.
The Fitness Centre offers the latest Technogym equipment, with a studio room for yoga/meditation and personal training. Other resident amenities include a crèche, snug screening room with popcorn machine, a private dining room, coffee and wine bar and a pet wash. There is also secure bicycle storage and car parking spaces with electric charging.
Led by the General Manager of Author King’s Cross, the onsite Related Argent team will support residents with services such as laundry, cleaning and in-home delivery services, building maintenance responses within 24-hours and excellent hospitality. The concierge service is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Residents at Author King’s Cross will benefit from the scheme’s location which offers on-trend retail, a wide variety of eating and drinking options, and a rich cultural calendar of events.
“Author King’s Cross provides residents with everything on their doorstep, with state-of-the-art lifestyle amenities to support healthy living, work from home, entertainment and relaxation. The design-led homes and exceptional service for residents combine to make this the place for Londoners searching for a rental home.
