Pan-European investment, development and asset management company – RE Capital – announces it is set to expand into the UK Build to Rent and Build to Sell sectors with a new senior hire. The appointed, Yuan Sun joins the company as its Head of Residential Development.
RE Capital’s UK team has focused on redeveloping heritage buildings into attractive and sustainable modern offices to date. Yuan will lead the pan-European company’s entrance to the UK Build to Rent and Build to Sell residential and mixed-use markets. She will also sit on the firm’s pan-European executive team and support the company’s Lisbon team, which has a growing portfolio of residential property in the Portuguese capital, including the LX Living and AAA23 luxury living developments.

Yuan joins RE Capital from Strawberry Star Homes where she oversaw four major mixed-use regeneration projects with a combined GDV of over £700m. Prior to that, Yuan served as Head of Development at London Legacy Development Corporation, where she was responsible for Stratford Waterfront Residential (now known as the East Bank) and Pudding Mill Lane, as well as working at Greenland UK, where she led the development of two major residential schemes, which included securing planning consent for the 67-storey Hertsmere House scheme at Canary Wharf.

Yuan has broad experience in residential and commercial property, including a stint at Tishman Speyer Properties, where she worked on the development of Goldman Sachs’ European headquarters.
