Real estate asset owner and developer PATRIZIA has announced that it has launched its latest development Corkfield.
Situated next to Edgbaston Stadium, the 375-apartment scheme will be managed by operator Native Residential, who were selected after a competitive tender process.
Phase I of the development, comprising 164 apartments, has now been released to the market.
In addition to fully fitted and furnished new homes, Corkfield boasts more than 30,000 sq ft of shared and social space.
“Edgbaston is Birmingham’s most sought-after address, combining easy access to the city centre with a leafy setting. Alongside the Stadium right on our doorstep, the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) – with its programme of film, theatre and arts events – and Cannon Hill Park are right across the road. Edgbaston Village, Moseley and Stirchley are all walkable and offer lively bars and bakeries, with restaurants ranging from friendly independents to gastro pubs and Michelin stars. Take-up of the apartments has been brisk. More than 800 people are expected to live at Corkfield and we look forward to building a vibrant new community here.”
Olivia Seaton, Asset Manager, PATRIZIA
Residential amenities include a 3,230 sq ft eighth floor roof terrace with scenic views of the Stadium, Edgbaston, and the city skyline, a large outdoor TV/film screen and entertainment room, a 20,860 sq ft landscaped courtyard with pergola and seating, flexible wellness studio, co-working space and boardroom, free WiFi and ‘pooch pods’ reflecting Corkfield’s pet friendly stance, and a private dining facility available to hire.
Residents at Corkfield also have access to on-site services including a 24/7 concierge, residents’ events programme, and maintenance services. There will be eight full-time staff based on site.
The scheme contains a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom fully furnished apartments, 127 with balconies.
“We are delighted to be appointed by PATRIZIA on this landmark asset in Birmingham. This appointment recognises our capability in operating best-in-class assets which drive leading outperformance, through their focus on design, community, and service. We have now successfully recruited a stellar senior onsite team and we are greatly looking forward to welcoming the first residents to the scheme.”
Rajiv Mehta, Director of Operations (UK), Native Residential
Corkfield also has 340 car parking spaces, 40 EV charging points and 228 secure cycle storage spaces. The apartments range from £1,100 – £2,200 per month.
Designed by CallisonRTKL (now known as Arcadis), the amenity space and apartments at the development were interior designed and furnished by Cast Living.
The first residents move in from November.
