The team behind Ideal Flatmate, the UK’s first algorithm-based flatmate matchmaker, launches Your Place, a new portal dedicated to advertising Build to Rent properties. After closing a funding round from existing investors in early 2022, the company has focused its efforts on the growing Build to Rent market.
Your Place helps renters find homes by providing them with a choice of the high-quality rental homes across the UK. Locations include London, Manchester, Leeds and Aberdeen. All properties listed are pre-approved by the in-house team and have a range of additional amenities designed to improve the rental experience. These include professional management services, concierge facilities and free Wi-Fi. Many properties will also have onsite co-working areas and newly equipped gyms. Users of Your Place will predominantly be young professionals between the ages of 25 and 35, working in urban locations, and will include all tenant types from across the rental sector (couples, families and single people). Sharers will also be able to use the platform and Ideal Flatmate’s matchmaking ability via a plug in.

Your Place is set to become a crucial part of Build to Rent developers’ lease-up plans, giving them quick access to relevant and pre-vetted residents who are ready to move in. As well as increased audience targeting, Your Place has a dedicated enquiry management team who vet all applicants before passing them over to the in-house team of operators. This increases the conversion rate from leads to renters and cuts down admin time for Build to Rent operators. Your Place also has expertise in filling DMR units, can conduct viewings when required and runs onsite resident-finder events.

Some of the largest Build to Rent developers have already signed up and are filling units, including Grainger, Get Living, Dandara and Vertus. The Build to Rent market is growing rapidly in the UK with available units set to treble in the next three years.
