Nationwide placemaker Muse announces that it has made three Northwest-based appointments on the back of a strong financial position and a significant development pipeline. Natalie Kennedy has been appointed as Senior Project Manager, Joel Chandler as Senior Development Manager, and Sarah Chicken as Development Manager.

Over a 17-year career, Natalie has helped deliver key regeneration across the country, working in partnership with the public and private sector on projects exceeding £500m in value. This includes working on behalf of Alliance Manchester Business School, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and No 1 Old Trafford. She has supported the delivery of thousands of new homes, retail, and commercial space across the north.

Joining from Genr8 Developments, Joel carries ten years’ regeneration experience. Most notably, he has supported the delivery of the major £250m Smithfield regeneration scheme in Stoke-on Trent, delivered in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Previously working at key residential companies Knight Frank, Gerald Eve and Tritax Symmetry, Sarah has helped support the delivery of Symmetry Park – a one million sq ft employment park and 65-acre country park on Merseyside and a 65-acre employment park in Middlewich.

“Natalie, Joel, and Sarah arrive at Muse with an incredible breadth and depth of regeneration experience. Their skills and insight will be critical as we deliver on our strong development pipeline. Our local team, embedded in the region, is critical to our success. We understand the communities in which we operate and work with our partners to deliver genuine social value. With the financial resources and strength to deliver, Muse is growing strongly in the Northwest.”

Phil Marsden, Managing Director, Muse – Northwest

The trio of appointments build on the strong performance of Muse and its Northwest team based in Salford. Muse has continued to deliver regeneration at Salford Central including record-breaking sustainable workplace, Eden, and Greenhaus (96 Passivhaus and affordable homes).

The Northwest team has also been selected by Oldham Council to deliver a mixed-use neighbourhood with up to 2,000 new homes, and by Stockport Metropolitan District Council to create a new walkable neighbourhood, Stockport 8, with over 1,200 new homes, retail, leisure, and office space.

Planning applications have also been submitted for new places in St Helens – to transform the town centre into a mixed-use destination set around a new market hall – and a £100m masterplan for Prestwich Village, to deliver new homes, public spaces and a community hub.
