Contractor GRAHAM completes the core of developer PLATFORM_’s landmark Build to Rent scheme at Central Quay, which now stands as one of Glasgow’s tallest buildings at 20 storeys (circa 60m high). The project team delivering the development include Thomas & Adamson, Axiom Project Services Limited and Keppie Design.
Designed by architect Keppie, the £100m residential-led development will deliver 498 high-quality Build to Rent homes – a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments across four blocks, ranging from six to 20 storeys in height. The modern and functionally designed apartments will help meet the requirement for new housing in Glasgow city centre, as demand continues to outweigh supply.

Ideally placed between the city centre and the west end, Central Quay will provide a range of amenities including a state-of-the art gym, landscaped courtyard, two roof terraces and a library and cinema room, creating an exclusive waterside community which will be home to over 1,000 residents.
Residents will also enjoy a private games room, guest lounges and group dining rooms, all exclusive to PLATFORM_ Glasgow, which is set to be one of the most desirable Build to Rent options in the city – as the new rental model increases in popularity with young professionals, families and downsizers.

Given its prominent location at the Broomielaw, the Central Quay development will help revitalise an important thoroughfare and contribute significant investment towards the ambitious regeneration of the Clyde Waterfront, which has been earmarked by Glasgow City Council as an area for urban renewal.
