Global property consultancy Knight Frank and real estate service provider M1 Agency have been jointly appointed to market the Camberwell Quarter mixed-use scheme in London.

Located in the heart of Camberwell, the 3.9-acre Camberwell Quarter site is in Zone 2. The development is being marketed with an estimated GDV of £140m, presenting a major redevelopment opportunity for investors.

The rare site has planning permission for a residential-led scheme comprising 375 residential units, 56,306 sq ft of flexible commercial space, and ancillary residential amenities. Designed by HTA Design, the consented plans will deliver a new urban quarter set around a central public square and the retained former brick chimney as a landmark focal point.

Camberwell Quarter occupies a prime position opposite Burgess Park. It has convenient access to the city centre, the West End and Canary Wharf. The site provides excellent transport links with three nearby rail stations: South Bermondsey, Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye.

“Camberwell Quarter presents developers and investors with an exceptional opportunity to deliver a high-quality mixed-use scheme in a sought-after central London location. With the residential consent in place and the excellent transport connectivity, this site offers tremendous potential. Whether pursuing the residential plans or exploring commercial redevelopment, this substantial freehold site is primed to capitalise on the demand we’re seeing from both homebuyers and commercial occupiers in Zone 2 locations like this.”

In addition to the consented residential scheme, the site at Camberwell Quarter also offers the potential for commercial development or investment. The existing buildings extend to 136,436 sq ft and provide a mixture of industrial, workshop, and office accommodation suitable for various occupiers – including trade counters, logistics, studios and urban industrial.
