How diverse and inclusive is the BTR sector? Have your say!

How diverse and inclusive are we? Have your say through a new, first-of-its-kind Diversity and Inclusion Survey.

Diversity and Inclusion - the first of its kind survey launched to the Build to Rent sector | UKAA | Swift Bunny | BTR News

It’s a question that many businesses are (rightly) asking themselves these days: how diverse and inclusive are we?

As a new partnership between UKAA (the UK Apartment Association) and Swift Bunny is keen to point out, diversity, equity and inclusion is not a Human Resources initiative. It’s a core value that needs to be woven into the fabric of every business and every sector – including the Build to Rent sector.

Conversations around these sensitive issues can feel intimidating to begin but that’s where the new UKAA/Swift Bunny partnership comes in. Together they have launched a new, first-of-its-kind Diversity and Inclusion Survey to help gain understanding and identify opportunities for the Build to Rent sector to improve.

The survey is open to any company working within the Build to Rent sector. Companies can register to enable their employees to take part anonymously. Running throughout January 2022, the survey will result in a report that UKAA and Swift Bunny will share with all those who take part in March.

“We are delighted to have worked with Swift Bunny on this important survey. We hope to build a sector-wide understanding of diversity and inclusion within Build to Rent – a benchmark to inform change and against which future progress can be measured.”

Dave Butler, CEO, UKAA

Diversity, along with sustainability, is set to be a big topic for the Build to Rent sector this year. As such, the hope is that as many Build to Rent companies as possible will participate in the Diversity and Inclusion Survey, to provide a deep understanding of the current state of play.

If your organisation hasn’t yet registered, you can do so at  https://swiftbunny.lpages.co/diversity-and-inclusion-survey-registration-uk/

“Having a more diverse and inclusive work environment doesn’t happen overnight, and it certainly doesn’t happen on its own. It requires focused effort, starting at the top, with participation at every level.”

Jen Piccotti, Chief Learning Officer, Swift Bunny
