Co-living and PRS brand Gravity Co – who focusses on community, flexibility, wellbeing and professional growth – wins the Operator of the Year Award at the 2022 Coliving Awards, which was held in Katowice, Poland. The awards have been created to give visibility to the most thought-provoking and innovative approaches in the co-living sector.
Gravity Co won the Operator of the Year Award category through the submission of its project ‘Community at Heart’, an in-depth presentation that focuses on its dedication and achievements to date in creating a unique co-living experience that offers modern, adaptable living environments, with one principal feature at the core – community.
“This award is important to us as it has allowed us to share with the co-living community what we do and how we do it. Entering the awards was a real team effort and we’re all massively proud, not just because we won best Operator of the Year, but also proud of what we do at Gravity and the amazing community we have created.”
Susanna Rock, Co-Founder and CIO, Gravity
Focusing on Gravity Co’s four key pillars of community – professional growth, meaningful engagement, personal wellbeing and unconventional design – the operator was able to demonstrate how it created an in-demand, fluid member-focussed living experience that continues to grow in popularity as the brand scales.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be announced Coliving Operator of the Year for 2022 and would like to thank everyone who voted for us and to the judges for selecting our entry. Gravity had a hugely successful start to the year with the launch of our fifth and newest property in Reading, adding over 100 new members to our community in the second most important city in the UK for innovation and technology companies, a market the Gravity brand is strongly appealing to. As we move further into 2022 and into next year, we plan to grow this community even further. Not just in the UK, but also internationally with properties in Spain, France and Italy now in our pipeline.”
Riccardo Tessaro, Co-Founder and CEO, Gravity
The Coliving Awards are recognised and entered by brands, institutions and individuals working both in and with the industry globally. This year saw over 70 entrants across 15 categories, with projects from countries including Australia, the Philippines, Denmark and Spain.
Award entries are judged in an initial first stage process, where a handful of projects from each of the 15 categories move forward to become 2022 finalists. Projects are then put to a partial public vote (worth 35%), with the remining percentage weighting decided by a judge or judging panel. Each project is carefully analysed and considered against a specified, strict criteria before being announced at the awards ceremony.
“As an award programme fostering innovation and thought leadership in the shared living industry, we are honoured to grant Gravity Co-Living the award for the Coliving Operator of the Year 2022 category. Gravity provides unique co-living experiences and their approach to fostering curated, tech-enabled communities results in happy and engaged residents season after season. Congratulations to the Gravity Co-Living team for their hard work making their product an award-winning one and adding value to the shared living industry at large.”
