
Grainger plc announces today that it has appointed a new Chief People Officer – Michelle Boothroyd. Michelle was previously People Director at Nationwide, the world’s largest building society, where she was responsible for the delivery of Nationwide’s strategic people and cultural transformation agenda. Prior to Nationwide, Michelle held senior HR roles at Santander and RBS.

As Grainger’s new Chief People Officer, Michelle will support the company’s ambitious growth plans as the UK’s leading residential landlord. This new role reflects one of Grainger’s core values of ‘People at the heart’ – and the importance it places on its people as a growing operationally-focused business.
Michelle will also help to drive forward Grainger’s Inclusion and Diversity agenda, securing the business as a leading employer in the real estate sector – and she will join Grainger’s Executive Committee. Michelle is expected to start her new role with Grainger in late January 2022.
