51 (35%) of the 144 homes within the topped out 12-storey Oldham Road Build to Rent scheme that is being developed by the GMI Construction North-West team will be reserved for key workers.
The site team, led by Andy King, are nearing completion of the development.
Oldham Road features one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a 3,000 sq ft roof terrace and further amenity spaces.
The key worker residents will receive discounted rents of up to 25% off.
The Oldham Road scheme sits between two highly-prized districts of Ancoats and NOMA.
The Build to Rent development falls within Manchester’s New Cross neighbourhood, a key development area where GMI Construction alone is currently working on three schemes delivering a combined 378 homes.
Funding for Oldham Road was provided through Cheyne Capital’s Impact Real Estate strategy, which aims to address the UK’s shortage of affordable housing.
