Glenbrook’s senior appointments of Mark Edwards and Sunny Johal marks a significant stage in the development and growth of the company.
Mark moves from his role as Investment Director at HSPG, having delivered £300m of housing in three years.
He joins Glenbrook in their newly created role as Land and Property Director and will be responsible for the sourcing of new land and development opportunities for the company – particularly across the South of the UK.
“After training at an international law firm, I moved over to real estate and subsequently managed acquisition teams which acquired over £500m of residential and mixed-use investments in both the private and institutional markets. Glenbrook has an excellent reputation in the market and I’m hugely excited about the prospect of expanding the company’s reach across the UK in delivering exceptional residential-led projects.”Mark Edwards, Land and Property Director, Glenbrook
Sunny joins Glenbrook after spending eight years as a key figure on the £1.2bn Paradise Birmingham development; five years of which were at Argent LLP.
As Glenbrook’s new Development Director, Sunny will be responsible for helping to further grow the company on a national scale, with a focus on the Midlands and the South East regions.
“The company’s track record, its size, values and entrepreneurial flair were all influencing factors in my decision to take on the role. I look forward to help fulfilling the company’s ambition to expand its presence in new territories; we are already underway with some exciting projects which we look forward to bringing forward over the next 12 months.”Sunny Johal, Development Director, Glenbrook
With 20 years’ experience in construction and real estate, Sunny has previously held senior positions within the construction industry before moving over to a more development and investment focussed position.
“Mark and Sunny are fantastic additions to the team and provide us with additional experience and resource at a strategic level. With schemes already live in the North West and in Yorkshire, we see the Midlands and the South East as a key area of growth for both our investment and development portfolios.”Guy Butler, Director, Glenbrook
Glenbrook has delivered over £700m worth of Build to Rent schemes across the UK and has a further 4,000 homes in its immediate pipeline. The company also completed a funding deal with L&G for the Whitehall Riverside scheme in Leeds earlier this year.
Over 1,500 homes are expected to start construction this year.
