Co-living brand Folk celebrates an award win for The Palm House scheme in Harrow. At the HomeViews Resident Choice Awards 2024, hosted in February, the Palm House by Folk was recognised as the best place to live in North London, while also being voted the top co-living community in the UK.

Residents referred to the co-living development as “a beautiful place to live”, “perfect balance of privacy and social life”, and saying “I would recommend to anyone and everyone”.

Since receiving the award, The Palm House announced a limited time deal where renters can receive £600 off their rent when signing a 12-month lease.

“We are extremely grateful and proud to have been recognised by such a trusted source within the renter community. The team at Folk has worked very hard since opening our first property in 2022 to ensure we are providing our residents with a seamless and enjoyable experience with co-living and, while first hand resident feedback has spurred us on, this award is now further proof that we are succeeding in achieving what the Folk brand set out to do.

“Our portfolio has grown rapidly over the years, but we always ensure each property and every resident’s experience is of the highest quality. We’re excited to grow our brand further and strive to receive the same recognition at our other two properties, Florence Dock and Sunday Mills.”

Paul Naylor, FOLK General Manager

Folk is on a mission to set a new, higher standard for renting by making it about building communities and being somewhere people are proud to call home. The co-living brand, with connection in mind, also tackles the loneliness epidemic hitting London. Folk properties connect people from all walks of life in diverse communities that are also designed with renters wants and needs in mind.

The Palm House has been cleverly designed and maintained to meet Folk’s key pillars of community and connection, providing amazing communal spaces that encourage social interaction and the formation of new friendships.

Taking note from extensive renter research and changing behaviour due to the pandemic, Folk set out to not only tackle the growing feeling of isolation and loneliness amongst renters in the capital, but also the traditional pain-points tenants face within the London rental market – including large deposits, poor work from home environments and little or no outdoor space.

Built across eight floors, The Palm House development features studio apartments starting from £1,445, and offers a bills included rental agreement. Residents benefit from several amenities including a gym, roof terraces, an on-site restaurant and a 24/7 on-site team.

The scheme is located a 12-minute train journey from Euston and a three-minute walk from Harrow and Wealdstone station.
