Developer Downing has released a first look at its newly launched Square Gardens co-living development show apartment in Manchester. Designed by intertior design firm KKA, the show apartment is located within the Acer Tower at Square Gardens, which will deliver 1,187 new rental homes to one of Manchester’s fastest growing and vibrant neighbourhood communities when it opens in autumn 2024.

New images of the site include a sneak preview inside the Acer apartments, showcasing both a shared three-bedroom and studio apartment. KKA have drawn inspiration from the extensive green space at Square Gardens. Its interior design embraces biophilic design by utilising a neutral colour palette throughout the development.

The ideal location of the Square Gardens scheme on First Street means Manchester’s business districts, universities and iconic cultural and entertainment scene sits nearby.

Acer residents will be able to choose from a range of accommodation options, from shared three to five bedroom co-living apartments, studios and one bedroom apartments – all fully furnished with one monthly rental fee that includes all utility bills, super-fast wifi, 24-7 onsite management team and the benefits of extensive shared amenities and services.

Residents can also take advantage of an exceptional events programme to connect neighbours and build the community. There is also a bookable dining room for residents to hire for entertaining guests.

“We have created spaces that balance modern city living with natural tranquillity, promoting a healthy lifestyle amidst the abundance of green space. The shared areas will encourage a strong sense of belonging, promote wellbeing, and enable residents to thrive.”
