The regenerative developer – Eutopia Homes – appoints sustainability-focused consultant and operator – VervLife – to support the design of, let and operation of a new Build to Rent community at Exeter Gateway, Exeter.
The Exeter Gateway scheme will deliver a mix of one, two and three bedroom homes in a self-contained block. Ten of the homes will be offered to local key workers at Discounted Market Rent, with a 20% discount applied. Residents will benefit from a range of amenities including roof terraces, balconies, a contemporary home-working hub and resident lounge.
The scheme has been designed in alignment with leading environmental standards and includes a car club facility, electric charging points and 100 secure cycle parking spaces – aiming to reduce dependency on car travel for residents. Exeter Gateway is set to complete in Q1 2024.
“At Eutopia Homes we take great care in curating places our residents are proud to call home. We know that today’s residents place emphasis on their wellbeing, the climate crisis and supporting their local communities, and our plans for Exeter Gateway reflect a living environment that meets what our future residents will seek from their home.
“We’re also happy to support our hard working and critical key workers in the area by offering ten of the 51 homes exclusively to them at Discounted Market Rents. We chose to partner with VervLife at Exeter Gateway after competitive tender and look forward to growing our relationship in future.”
Scott Hammond, Chief Executive Officer, Eutopia Homes
VervLife is supporting Eutopia Homes and the wider professional team on the design of the asset. Once complete, VervLife will fully mobilise and let the scheme, operating the asset day-to-day. It will also roll out its specialist Build to Rent community engagement portal and app – VERVO – allowing residents easy, on-demand access to a host of bespoke services, exclusives and offers from across Exeter and nationally.
The 0.5 acre site is strategically located within close proximity to Exeter City Centre, Exeter University and two local train stations, providing great connectivity both within the city and further afield.
“Eutopia Home’s Exeter Gateway site will be a meticulously designed, compact new scheme in the up-and-coming city of Exeter. Developed for modern sustainable living with features like EV charging points and two cycle parking bays per home, it will appeal to residents who want to do their bit for the planet whilst also benefiting from first class amenity space in-building. We’re working with Eutopia Homes at an early stage which will support their quest for enhanced yields and operational efficiencies without sacrificing on the living experience, and are thrilled to have been chosen as the operating partner for this new rental community.”
