Dolphin Square Charitable Foundation, parent entity of the Dolphin Living group who provide Build to Rent schemes in London announces that Andrew Giblin has been elected as Chair and Jo Moran has been appointed to the Board as it prepares to grow its portfolio and provide more high-quality housing for London’s workers on modest incomes.
Prior to being elected as Chair, Andrew served for over four years as Governor and latterly Vice Chair of Dolphin. Before taking on the role of Chair of the Board, he also chaired the charity’s Acquisition, Finance and Development Committee. Andrew steps into the role with over 16 years’ experience at Dorrington – where his forthcoming appointment to Managing Director was recently announced, having been on the Board for ten years. During his time at Dorrington, Andrew has specialised in residential and commercial investment and development and has been responsible for developing effective strategies, influencing company direction and driving transformation.
“It is an honour to take over as chair of Dolphin, particularly after such a challenging year during which the importance of affordable housing for key workers was brought to the fore. I am delighted to have already played a part in shaping its strategy and look forward to working with Olivia and the Board further.”

Jo’s appointment is evidence of Dolphin’s drive to excel sector standards for customer service. She joins the Board with over 30 years’ experience in the retail industry and was most recently Head of Customer Service at Marks & Spencer for 12 years. Prior to this, Jo was Head of Retail Service and Head of Franchise Sales Development. While in her role, she successfully obtained Board support to invest in the training of every store colleague, resulting in M&S having one of the best customer recommendation scores in the UK.
“Customer service is central to any industry and Dolphin is absolutely right in making it a priority. I’m looking forward to working with Andrew, the entire board, Olivia and the executive team to grow the business and build on all the great work that has already been done.”

The new appointments come at an important time for Dolphin as it looks to expand its portfolio, with over 300 homes in planning or under development, to accommodate the increasing demand for affordable housing for London’s key workers near to their places of work. The charity’s strategy further prioritises upholding a high level of customer satisfaction by adhering to regulatory requirements, including health and safety requirements, streamlining its approach to repairs and utilising technology to improve the customer experience.
“Having worked with Andrew over the past four years, I am delighted that he will now be Chairing the Board. Jo has frontline business experience that will support our mission to deliver top level customer service while growing our portfolio and increasing the number of people we support. I have no doubt that both will bring insight, vision and expertise to the charity.”
