Glasgow City Council has granted planning permission to Dandara Living for City Wharf – a new mixed-use development in Anderston Quay. The new scheme will transform a derelict site overlooking the Kingston Bridge.

Designed by architects, Manson, the scheme will deliver 500 energy efficient Build to Rent homes in a mix of one-, two- and three-bedrooms, 490 student beds and commercial units. Amenities – on the ground and first floors – include a large open plan gym, cycle hub, residents lounge, and co-working spaces with views onto the River Clyde.

City Wharf residents will also have access to new private courtyard spaces and recreational areas with extensive planting and landscaping. Both residents and the local community will also benefit from a new urban park.

“We’re delighted City Wharf has been given the green light. It will play a key role in the significant transformation this part of the city is undergoing and help to bring more people into the area extending the vibrancy of the Clyde waterfront.”

Rachel Allwood, Planning Director, Dandara Living

Build to Rent developer and operator – Dandara Living – was founded in 2015 and is a division of the Dandara Group. Alongside City Wharf, Dandara Living has an existing development – Granary Quay – located at Glasgow Harbour. The scheme includes 342 apartments and several amenities.

The company currently has 17 sites in its portfolio and almost 3,000 apartments under management, with a further 5,000+ homes and student beds in the pipeline.
