Dandara appoints a new CEO and Board to oversee housebuilding operations, which will ensure a vibrant and dynamic future for the rapidly expanding private development company. The newly appointed CEO – Trevor Dempsey – joined Dandara at the beginning of 2020 as Managing Director of the Northern Home Counties division. Trevor previously held similar roles at Linden Homes and Bovis Homes.
With 25 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry, Trevor’s wide-ranging experience will ensure that he steers Dandara on a steady course through its future expansion plans in the UK. These recent changes to the company’s operational structure will help cement its ongoing transformation from a regional specialist into a nationwide player.
Dandara also announces a new Housebuilding Board, which will oversee the operations of its UK residential property development divisions. The Board will be led by Trevor with support from Chris Harris, Divisional Managing Director and James Horne, Divisional Finance Director. Both joining Dandara in 2019, Chris is formerly Managing Director of Dandara South East, who joined from Linden Homes, whilst James joined from Taylor Wimpey.
“I believe that the changes we have made to the company structure will ensure the continued success of the business, help us to realise our full potential and offer many opportunities for our people and our customers.”

Dandara also reported an exceptional year which has seen further controlled growth. The company’s expansion programme saw it create two new divisions within the last year – Wales and West based in Cardiff launched at the beginning of 2022, and Dandara Eastern based in Braintree, Essex which began in summer 2021.
With existing operations based in Milton Keynes, Tunbridge Wells, Southampton, Edinburgh and Aberdeen along with the Isle of Man and Jersey, the company is one of the UK’s largest independent property development companies – which develops properties for sale as well as Build to Rent schemes via its Dandara Living brand.
“Dandara continues to go from strength to strength – we have performed well against our planned growth objectives and are performing well in every region. We have successfully implemented new procedures and control processes that have helped us to achieve a high level of standardisation across our divisions in terms of service and quality levels – a commitment to customer service that has led to us retaining a 5-star HBF rating.
“Dandara has a reputation for quality, which means that we attract and retain talented and committed staff, who want to work for a business they can be proud of. As we continue to expand, it’s essential that we maintain that key message, as ultimately that will be the main driver for sustainable growth. We are flexible, competitive, well respected and build outstanding homes; that puts us in a fantastic position for the future.”
