Build to Rent real estate investment, development, and management company Cortland has worked with the Department for Business and Trade to convene a roundtable for leaders in the UK Build to Rent sector.

“Driving investment into the Build to Rent asset class is core to increasing the supply of much-needed housing in the UK. This roundtable was a great opportunity to look at how the industry can work in partnership with the government to deliver better quality rental homes for residents where they’re needed.”

Victoria Quinlan, President of Cortland Europe

Held in the historic Old Admiralty Building in London and chaired by Lord Dominic Johnson at the Department for Business and Trade, attendees included investors, owners and operators of UK Build to Rent homes.

The insightful discussion focused on the role that Build to Rent can play as part of the government’s levelling up agenda to create thriving future cities.

“Real estate is a huge magnet for inward investment into the UK – supporting thousands of jobs in the property, construction and services industries.

“It also plays a central role in levelling up – as we strive to attract investment into towns and cities across the UK, it’s crucial to have the necessary housing and infrastructure that enables them to grow.”

Lord Dominic Johnson, Minister for State, Department for Business and Trade
