Common announces its new CEO who replaces the founder of the company who remains as Chief Creative Officer and Chairman.

Global residential manager – Common – announces the appointment of a new CEO who will replace the Founder, Brad Hargreaves, who will remain with the company as Common’s Chief Creative Officer and chairman of the board. The appointed CEO – Karlene Holloman – brings with her previous experience in executive roles.

Karlene was previously CEO of Point Hospitality Group and SVP of Operations at Commune Hotels and Resorts. With over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Karlene’s experience spans all areas of operations – including acquisitions, financial management, revenue and marketing, human resources, employee relations, training and development, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and administration.

Brad founded Common in 2015 in response to the global housing crisis across major cities – and led the company’s expansion from a start up to a national leader in co-living. Brad will continue to build out the future of city living in his new role, working closely with Common’s studio, eeal estate, and marketing teams to drive new business and innovations in rental housing.
