Real estate specialist Centrick appoints David Clark as Non-Executive Chairman to support the company’s service-driven national growth strategy. The appointment follows the company’s recent announcement of its partnership with Holborn Property Developments.

A well-known figure in the property sector, David was until recently Chair and Co-Owner at Mainstay Group, a national residential leasehold and mixed-use asset manager based in Worcester.

“I’m hugely excited to be joining Centrick, which is a fantastic business. I have known Founder James Ackrill for some time, and we come from similar business backgrounds.

“I owned and managed Mainstay. We had a fast growth story, and the company was very successful. I think Centrick can be even better. It is a great brand, full of great people, and it was exciting to be asked to come and work alongside James and the management team to strategically deliver exceptional service.

“The next few years are going to see this business develop a national presence that will be noted across the property sector. It has all the right ingredients to succeed, including a very strong leadership team.”

“My role is to offer an independent oversight to the board and leadership team, bringing my sector experience to chair operations, board and main board meetings to ensure the agenda deals with leadership matters, strategy, oversight, governance and risk. I must also be a critical friend to the leadership team.”

As a Board Director and Chair, David has spent most of his career in property services and leasehold management. He was an owner at Mainstay Group until 2021 and held roles including Business Development Director, Managing Director and Chair.

During his time as an Operational Director, David was a board member of the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) for 13 years and was Chair between 2002 and 2005. During that time, he was closely involved in the formation of the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) and returned to Chair the organisation from 2012–2014.

David currently sits on the Board of Housing 21 and chairs their Asset and Investment Committee. He sits on the Board of Platform Housing Group and was, until last year, Chair of Platform Property Care. He also sits as Independent Director and Chair of Queen Alexandra College Enterprises.

“There are very few people with the enormous knowledge and experience David has gained in the property sector. He has earned a first-class reputation as one of the sector’s true leaders and we are excited for him to bring his impressive talents to Centrick as we plot our sustainable national growth strategy, supported by our exceptional leadership team.”
