London’s premium rental development, Author King’s Cross opened in mid-October 2023 and began welcoming its first residents to their new homes on the King’s Cross estate.

A new three-bedroom, three-bathroom Build to Rent show apartment has also been unveiled – showing how the Author King’s Cross scheme can be ideal for families wanting large apartments with ample space and storage, whilst benefitting from everything life on the estate has to offer. The current mix of residents includes couples, mature students, and corporate executives working on the King’s Cross estate and commuting to The City.

Highly anticipated as the first Build to Rent scheme in Related Argent’s portfolio with outstanding service and amenities, the development has seen strong interest with a range of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, furnished by David Phillips, still available. Prices start from £3,450 pcm.

Following huge demand, the Author King’s Cross scheme was over 40% let ahead of its doors opening to residents, and the building is already coming to life with the amenities and communal areas filling up and even being reserved for special occasions.

“We have been remarkably pleased with the lease up of Author King’s Cross, the only purpose built, professionally managed and full amenity rental building on the King’s Cross Estate.

“Our first residents have been extremely enthusiastic about the well-appointed units, generous layouts, and superbly responsive staff here at the site. Residents have taken to using our thoughtfully crafted work from home space and enjoying the cricket world cup in our premium screening room.”

The reception area of Author King’s Cross leads you to the amenity spaces designed by Conran & Partners and furnished by AGC BTR. The seamless and cleverly designed space offers a surprise at every corner, from ‘The Nook’ home-working booths to the private dining room, coffee and wine bar. The inviting spaces cater for all types of residents.

With ample amenities – including several residents’ lounges, a fitness centre with Technogym equipment, a screening room, a garden kitchen opening onto the courtyard and a pet wash – the Build to Rent development offers residents unique internal spaces with various artwork.

This includes The Threads Between Us artwork located in the double height lobby in the entrance area of the scheme. The 8ft-by-8ft installation by Kenny Nguyen is a first for London. With a vivid colour palette of red, yellow, pink and white, the work brings warmth and energy to the space.

“The landscape podium work is nearly complete and will provide yet another great amenity for our residents. The resident breakfast, wine events, and fitness centre activities have been well attended, as well as our winter festivities on the Kings Cross estate.

“It has been a tremendous effort to get this building operational and I am proud of the work put forth by everyone at Related Argent. We have a few unit types left for future residents and encourage anyone looking for a remarkable rental experience to come by and see London’s most premier Build to Rent offering, Author King’s Cross.”
