Established in 2016 as the UK Apartment Association (UKAA), and now rebranded to ARL, the membership organisation is inviting applications from Build to Rent sector specialists to join its Board. The announcement comes as the organisation aims to evolve alongside the sector.

The ARL is seeking individuals with the strategic vision and experience to shape the future of the wider Build to Rent and Living Sectors for a range of Board roles. These include Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, along with legal and governance directors and special advisors. The reconstituting of the ARL Board is due to complete by year end.

Building the new Board is part of the ARL’s evolution to embrace a wider remit – to represent the sectors under the Build to Rent umbrella, including urban and suburban single-family and multifamily rental, co-living and later living.

The Board will be responsible for the overall control, governance, and strategic direction of the organisation in representing the sector.

“On behalf of the ARL, I extend my thanks to our current Board Members for their outstanding service in guiding and shaping the organisation since its inception eight years ago.

“The ARL is now perfectly positioned to further shape the Living Sector moving forward. We are excited to be seeking a range of experts and specialists to join us on that journey, as we implement a clear succession plan for the Board, to build upon the success of the ARL to date and meet the needs of the evolving Build to Rent environment.”

Brendan Geraghty, CEO, ARL

The ARL has created strong networks for sharing best practice, connecting suppliers with investors and operators, and generating awareness of the Build to Rent sector.
