Argent and Related Argent are set to become one company on 1 May 2024, which will see Argent transfer its employees, projects and assets to Related Argent Limited, the name the business will operate solely under. Both companies have been operating in parallel since 2015.

Argent is best known for delivering large scale regeneration across the UK, including King’s Cross in London which is home to the Author King’s Cross Build to Rent scheme, Brindleyplace in Birmingham and St Peter’s Square in Manchester.

UK business Related Argent brings together the expertise and track record of Argent with that of Related – one of the most innovative and prolific real estate companies in the US that has delivered the Hudson Yards and Deutsche Bank Center in New York, The Square in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the Grand LA in Los Angeles.

“When we established Related Argent, combining the best of Argent and Related, it was our shared objective that this new company would be the future of the business. Related Argent brings a compelling and unmatched offer to the UK market.”

Formed eight years ago, the company has now become one of the UK’s leading developer-owner-operators. It has grown a £9bn+, 12 million sq ft mixed-use development pipeline, which includes major regeneration projects in London.

Located at 180 York Way, Related Argent’s Author King’s Cross project, a Build to Rent scheme in King’s Cross is due to open in late Summer 2023. Delivering 182 Build to Rent apartments and 26 social rented homes across three buildings, homes include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, some with a private balcony. The three buildings have been designed by different architectural practices – David Morley Architects, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Haptic.

Author King’s Cross is the company’s first UK Build to Rent development in a growing portfolio of Build to Rent assets that capitalises on Related’s extensive US rental experience. The scheme received investment from The Olayan Group.

The project at Brent Cross Town – where construction powers forward following finance and the appointment of two contractors – is being delivered alongside the master-developer joint venture partnership with Barnet Council. Five buildings are already under construction including the Build to Rent homes.

In Q4 2022, Related Argent achieved one of the largest capital raises of that year with Invesco, acting on behalf of a US separate account client, to bring forward £600m of gross development value including new homes and retail at Brent Cross Town.

In Tottenham Hale, the first three residential buildings have been completed.

“For more than 40 years, our company has continually evolved to meet shifting business, investor and consumer needs. Related Argent Limited is a natural next step in this process, and I look forward to working with the leadership team to deliver the regeneration projects and services our UK cities need and demand.”
