Apo has opened its first location in Barking, East London – offering a brand new ‘living’ style and completely flexible membership. This new residential membership provides London renters with access to thoughtfully designed Build to Rent apartments and a bucket list of services and amenities that take the hassle out of everyday life. Apo gives control to its members, leaving them more time to enjoy the good times.
Barking will be the first of a number of city locations. Apo is due to open its second in Kew this year – with flexibility for members to move from one scheme to the other.
“The opening of our first location in Barking is an exciting moment. We have listened closely to our audience, and the concept of co-creating a lifestyle offering such as this was born as a direct result – addressing common concerns about renting and helping create an easier and more enjoyable way of living.Matthew Pullen, CEO, Apo
Apo’s mission is to create a living network that listens and responds to the everyday needs of its members. ‘Life admin’ is made easier – for example all utility costs are wrapped up in one simple monthly payment, and digital parcel lockers take in deliveries 24/7.
At the heart of Apo Barking is The Local, a versatile members space for both co-working and no-working, as well as a state-of-the-art gym. The Local will host the rolling events calendar and is home to Apo’s resident team, who are on hand to help with day-to-day admin seven days a week.
A user-friendly app connects members and shares a calendar of events and local offers. Members can opt in and out of perks at any time, only ever paying for what they need. Other membership benefits include free Wi-Fi, an onsite handyman to book for DIY needs, and optional housekeeping. There is also a guest apartment available to book for friends and family to stay.
“Our mission at Apo is to constantly evolve our offering by working closely with our members to bring fresh ideas to the table and adapt to their growing needs. We are all about inclusivity and putting the fun back into London living.”Matthew Pullen, CEO, Apo
