We are super excited and proud to announce that our AGC BTR brand has won their first International Property Award in the Mixed-Use Interior UK Category with their 8 Water Street Project. This award now brings the AGC portfolio of brands running total to 8 Property Awards since 2012.
The United Kingdom Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability. The annual event celebrates the highest levels of achievement amongst residential and commercial property professionals worldwide, open to companies operating in all sectors of the real estate industry.

The award-winning project
Canary Wharf’s 23-acre district, Wood Wharf, is host to revolutionary office spaces, retail and residential, balanced with a charming waterside setting and welcoming green space. With nods to a sustainable future, the area features exceptional architecture. Amongst the new developments is the inspiring low-rise, 8 Water Street. Vertus, Canary Wharf Group, created a thriving residential community with 174 apartments overlooking the south dock, quiet boardwalks, and floating pavilions of water square.
“The layout is exceptional – every square inch was thoughtfully laid out. The finishes make it feel as if we’re staying in a 5-star hotel.”
Private tenant
AGC BTR was appointed to create an environment that connects its residences with the surrounding water and quaint garden space. The development boasts flexible communal areas, including a lounge, self-service bar, screen room, private dining room and an expansive roof terrace, all of which was carefully curated and designed by AGC. In addition to the communal areas, the team was appointed to furnish the 174-apartment building, including 160 dressed units and premium penthouses.
“Covid-19 was an unexpected hit for us all; it also meant that Sophie Wilson, our AGC Interior Designer, had to re-work the communal spaces to accommodate the changes needed to make it a safe space for all. It was imperative that the inside communal areas were flexible in design and allowed the spaces to go from daytime working spaces to an ambient evening setting. Luckily for AGC, creating an elegant environment is something we thrive on creating. We are so thrilled to have won this award, especially after such a challenging time, and we can’t wait to celebrate it with everyone who made it possible.”
