A property fund backed by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (Isif) are providing 90 luxury apartments to the Health Service Executive (HSE). The homes were recently built as part of the second phase of the Build to Rent Fernbank development in Churchtown.

The apartments at Fernbank will house healthcare workers during the Covid-19 crisis who may be redeployed and have nowhere to stay. Apartments will be offered for free, for up to three months.

Fernbank’s apartments are fully furnished and ideally located – a four-minute walk to Dundrum Village, a ten-minute walk to Churchtown Village and only 12 minutes to Churchtown city centre. The scheme is currently undergoing certification of the WiredScore Home programme for its internet connectivity.

The Fernbank Build to Rent development is also adjacent to the Dandrum Luas stop and is close to the Luas Bridge landmark in Dundrum. A two-bedroom apartment here would cost €2,000 per month.

Fernbank is owned by the Irish Residential Property Fund, a Build to Rent development that Isif has invested €140m into. Irish Life Investment Managers oversee the funds operation.
