Wise Living announce new Build to Rent homes in Lincolnshire

Wise Living continues its UK expansion following the announcement of a new Build to Rent development in Lincolnshire.

Wise Living is continuing to increase its presence in the UK Build to Rent market, announcing a new Build to Rent development in Lincolnshire.

The site – on Fenside Road in Boston – will be its first in the county, as well as the first Build to Rent scheme delivered in partnership with developer Seagate Homes Group UK. Construction is due to start in early October and will include 53 two- and three-bedroom homes.

“The current pandemic certainly hasn’t lowered demand, in fact it’s been the opposite, with entire development phases being completely reserved online in just a matter of weeks during lockdown.

“It’s great that we are now able to bring this ethos to Lincolnshire alongside Seagate Homes in what will be the first institutionally funded Build to Rent scheme of any scale in Boston. The town itself has big ambitions as part of the Government’s £3.6bn Towns Fund, which is giving Boston the opportunity for significant investment of up to £25m for regeneration, improved transport, better broadband connectivity, skills and culture. Housing is undoubtedly going to be vital alongside such substantial regeneration.”

Mark Gratton, Development and Land Manager, Wise Living

The new Boston development forms part of Wise Living’s five-year growth plan, which aims to build more than 10,000 Build to Rent homes by 2025 – and will create 100 new jobs across the UK.

“One of the main purposes of Wise Living is to challenge current standards in the UK private rental sector. From day one, we have focused on high quality, purpose-built family housing to drive a better standard of living for tenants.

“It’s not just about building a house in a random location and then walking away. It needs to be much more about identifying the ideal sites, maintaining properties and communal spaces to high standards and creating and nurturing communities.”

Mark Gratton, Development and Land Manager, Wise Living

Earlier this year, Wise Living released their five-year growth plan to build more homes and create more long term partnerships. A key part of Wise Living’s growth strategy is partnering with regional and national developers to deliver Build to Rent schemes.

With work due to commence in Boston imminently, Seagate Homes Group UK joins a list of development partners that include Keon Homes – as well as Lovell Homes where recently the partnership took ownership of 40 new-build apartments in Telford. Wise Living also has developments in Birkenhead, Mansfield and Coventry, with a number of new sites set to be announced in the coming months.

“We’re extremely excited to be part of this inaugural development, in partnership with Wise Living within our home county of Lincolnshire. Seagate Homes Group UK has established its name for prestigious built homes using traditional designs with outstanding quality and attention to detail, being awarded the region’s Premier Guarantee House Builder Award.

“In addition to our open market developments, we have always put Build to Rent and PRS schemes as a key focus of our family business, to diversify our client base while supporting the ever-changing market and progression of the county. In this current climate, Build to Rent properties are needed more than ever within Lincolnshire to support the regeneration of the county.”

Nathan Marshall, Director, Seagate Homes Group UK
