Grainger plc to launch BTR development exclusively for renters in Milton Keynes

Grainger takes a digital first, net-zero carbon approach to deliver Milton Keynes’ first BTR development.

A new Build to Rent (BTR) development in Milton Keynes designed and built specifically for rent is now available to pre-lease. Renters in the city are set to benefit from the arrival of US-style professionally managed rental housing. 

Solstice Apartments is the first BTR development to open in Milton Keynes and it’ll provide flexible and secure housing for the city’s growing population. The city has proved popular with commuters working in London, and also sits in the middle of the Oxbridge Arc, a hub of science and technology.

Milton Keynes’ famous leisure and shopping destination – Centre:MK – is on the doorstep of Solstice Apartments, and Milton Keynes Central train station is nearby, which has regular half-hour services to London.  

Solstice Apartments by Grainger, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, will offer a mix of 139 one- and two-bedroom apartments. 14 apartments are available at discounted market rent for those on lower incomes. This innovative form of affordable housing is scattered throughout the building instead of in a separate block – so all residents can enjoy the amenities. With rent starting from £1050pcm, there are options of multi-year tenancies, with contracts of up to three years.

Apartments are fully furnished There’s a 24-hour on-site fitness area, a residents’ lounge for socialising, and an outdoor courtyard and roof terraces – all included in the rent. 

Apartments are complete with everything you need for a hassle-free move-in, with all utilities ready to go from day one, super-fast Wi-Fi (up to 1 Gbps), a selection of stylish furnishing options, fully integrated appliances, ample storage, dedicated parcel collections and an on-site management team and concierge.

Digital first

Grainger plc is taking a digital-first approach to letting apartments. They’ve fully digitalised the process through their new technology platform, which allows customers to organise viewings and sign leases online, saving time and hassle. Residents can also request repairs and reserve amenity areas for private events online.

Zero carbon

In alignment with Grainger’s net-zero carbon ambitions, Solstice Apartments is a fully electric building. All energy supplied to the communal areas and amenity spaces come from 100% renewable sources. Each apartment has an air source heat pump to provide hot water efficiently.
